Paper Vintage Cameras

I was commissioned by The Natural History Museum to create table centrepieces for their 52nd Wildlife Photographer of the Year, exhibition launch party.

My idea was to create stylised, mini versions of iconic vintage cameras out of white card, as this sounded like enormous fun.  I displayed the final pieces in bell jars to hint upon the museum specimen…and because I’m slightly in love with bell jars.  Come on, who isn’t ?

Here are some ‘making of’ snaps for your viewing pleasure…

I couldn’t make a mini polaroid camera without an little gif animation fun.  Here’s a very quick play around with some neon card and gif maker…
