Who Wants To Be A Millennial?

Last month I had the amazing task of designing and making the set and props for an experiential event during Advertising Week Europe.  The event promoted the marketing insights, gained by the Metro and MailOnline, called Millennial Rules, in the format of a game show and was produced by the lovely folks at It’s Unknown.

I created the 3d emojis, contestant podium and the backdrop, all entirely from cardboard.  In my opinion, you can’t go wrong with a bit of Canford card, some corrugated flute and a trusty glue gun.

I also made some comedy props for the games which included ‘twerking boxes’,  giant sweet shakers and Deal or No Deal style boxes with Joey Essex’s face on.  Such a brilliant job to work on!

Here are a few pics of the process and of the event…

Cardboard emojis. The comedy potential for photographing these with the kids is clearly HUGE but sadly I was too busy to take full advantage of this opportunity at the time.

The contestant podium was constructed in two halves…so I could get it into the venue

Actual working buzzers for contestants would have been far too advanced for us.
