A Fish Called Marlo

One of the nicest commissions I’ve been working on this year, so far, has been the Liberty Fabric Marlin, who I affectionately named Marlo.  This almost life sized, most awkward shape to work with, beast of a fish took a very long time in between my usual jobs but over the months I grew fond of his pointy nose and was sad to see him go…

Here are a few ‘behind the scenes’, ‘making of’, badly lit iPhone shots to show how he started as a little plasticine model and ended up as a big ol’ flowery fish on the wall.
